Steak Nachos

Dudley Slut

You can eat these Steak Nachos as a hearty snack or appetizer because they are so tasty. Spices are added to tender flank steak, which is then put on top of crispy tortilla chips with cheese, beans, and fresh toppings. After being baked until bubbly and golden, these nachos are too good to resist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Sour cream and guacamole for topping

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375F 190C

In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

Rub this mixture all over the flank steak slices

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

Cook the steak slices for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to desired doneness

Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces

On a baking sheet, arrange a layer of tortilla chips

Top with shredded cheese, black beans, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, diced red onion, and the cooked steak slices

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped cilantro

Serve immediately with sour cream and guacamole
